Slab III19 & 26 June 2004 A public participatory performance which took place on two consecutive Saturdays. Visitors were invited to print with various parts of their bodies on to small slabs of soft white clay. The near-blood-red pigment was dusted on to the chosen body part and then the artist pressed it into the clay. The print-impression was then photographed and the contributors details recorded. The slabs were added to a floor display, positioned on a stretcher-like canvas, eventually making a full figure. |
