Body Cell SlipDurational performance with clay and charcoal Curated by Cally Trench and hosted by OpenHandOpenSpace. 24 March 2012 Body Cell Slip was a live durational performance with clay in which Philip Lee invited visitors into the warm, confined performance space (2.59 x 2.75 metres) to participate in the performance by covering Philip in clay, or simply witness the performance. He spent three hours pacing around the former army detention cell as the clay on his skin began to dry and crack. Philip Lee kept a tally on the wall with charcoal counting both his circuits and the number of people entering the cell. |
